Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer – HVAC/Building Systems to lead multi-discipline building projects from concept through construction.

You will develop HVAC, plumbing, and piping designs, coordinate with architects and engineers, review calculations and specs, and mentor junior staff while ensuring QA/QC and client satisfaction across healthcare, commercial, industrial, government, and educational facilities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering and building systems design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience leading mechanical design on building systems projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, ventilation, and related systems.
• Ability to coordinate multiple project priorities and communicate with clients and team.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office; familiarity with HVAC analysis tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical design efforts for building systems projects from concept through construction documents and construction support.
• Develop HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, controls, and piping designs.
• Coordinate work with architects, engineers, contractors to produce integrated documents.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, narratives, and specifications.
• Apply codes, standards, and industry practices throughout design and documentation.
• Provide field support through site observations and QA/QC activities.
• Help manage technical quality, schedules, budgets, and multi-project coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
