Investigo is seeking a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to lead electromechanical systems from concept to production in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You will own architecture and design of plastic, metal, and sensor/actuator assemblies, drive the full development cycle, and collaborate across electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of consumer product design experience with molding and sensor integration.
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products and supporting manufacturing in Asia.
• Proficient in 3D modeling (SolidWorks, NX, Creo).
• DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, GD&T, and functional dimensioning.
• Strong root cause analysis and DOE knowledge.

Responsibilities

Hardware Engineering Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical/product design engineering for new products from concept to production. This role offers significant ownership over decisions and opportunities for career growth in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own, architect, and design complex electromechanical systems, including plastic, metal, and soft goods components integrated with novel sensors and actuators.
• Drive designs across the entire development lifecycle: brainstorming, CAD, prototyping, testing, and ramp into production (including Asia manufacturing support).
• Solve highly cross-functional problems by collaborating with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Perform analysis and testing to ensure designs meet product goals, including thermal, fluid, and structural analyses.
• Collaborate with industrial design, marketing, product teams, and company leadership to shape product direction and features.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of consumer product design experience, including injection molding, sheet metal forming, and sensor/electronics integration.
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products and supporting manufacturing in Asia.
• Highly proficient with 3D modeling (e.g., Solidworks, NX, Creo).
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis, DOE, and quality measuring techniques.
• BSME or equivalent required.
• Willingness and ability to travel to China as needed.
