Qualifications

• Requires BS in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in mechanical product-development; principal: 10–12+ years.
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermal, and mechanical design.
• Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks/Creo) and design-for-manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and pneumatic architecture, design, development, and verification for SleepRes PAP products
• Own blower integration, airpath, pressure/flow paths, humidifier and water chamber, enclosure, seals, interfaces, thermal management, and acoustics
• Translate system requirements into mechanical and pneumatic specs and design solutions
• Perform first-principles analyses: airflow, pressure drop, thermal, tolerances, structural, acoustics
• Drive rapid prototyping and product development through EVT, DVT, design freeze, V&V, PVT, and production
• Lead mechanical design reviews with NPI, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on DFM/DFA, tooling, fixtures, assembly, transfer
• Support verification, reliability testing, and root-cause investigations for mechanical, pneumatic, thermal, acoustics, and manufacturing issues
• Partner with Operations and Strategic Sourcing on supplier selection and cost reduction
• Support design controls and risk management, including DFMEA and verification docs
• Mentor engineers and elevate the team’s mechanical engineering capability
