Job summary

Maverick Group US LLC in the Philadelphia area seeks an experienced Mechanical Machine Designer to own the mechanical lifecycle of custom industrial equipment from concept to testing. You will split time between design and the production floor, guiding fabrication and assembly to realize complex systems.

You will produce detailed layouts, BOMs, and drawings, manage tolerances, and work hands-on with machinists and technicians to resolve build challenges and validate performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing industrial machinery or automated capital equipment.
• Experience creating full systems, not just components.
• Proficient with 2D drafting and 3D CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of custom equipment and create BOMs and manufacturing packages.
• Collaborate with fabrication technicians to troubleshoot prototypes and implement revisions.
• Ensure tolerances, fits, and structural requirements meet heavy industrial needs.
• Work between design office and shop floor to support final testing.
• Communicate specifications and milestones with customers to meet deadlines.
