Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection designs for water treatment and related facilities across North America.

You will guide multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction, coordinating with other disciplines and mentoring junior engineers. You should have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a PE license, with at least 7 years of experience in HVAC design and strong knowledge of codes, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and PE licensure required.
• 7+ years of experience in HVAC/Plumbing design for complex projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for projects.
• Develop basis of design reports and technical memos for mid-size projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and OPCC budgets.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals and attend site visits for design compliance.
• Develop HVAC and Plumbing calculations and load sizing.
• Coordinate with other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers in training (EIT) to grow technical skills.
• Travel to job sites in state of residence and other states (5%).
