Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience.
• 5+ years with BS or 2+ years with MS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Ability to develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Experience leading laboratory operations and coordinating with stakeholders.
• DOE L clearance is required or must be obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Lead test programs supporting repair technology development in lab and via subcontracts.
• Plan, follow and execute work, and produce technical designs, instructions, and procedures.
• Develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
• Plan and execute tests, analyze results, and assist with technical reports.
• Contribute to development of repair techniques by drafting and reporting subcontracted contracts.
• Lead laboratory operations in a productive, timely, compliant manner.
• Support travel to vendors and shipyards as needed.
