Job summary

Vitamix seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Product Engineering to drive the development and implementation of engineered changes for New Product Development and sustaining engineering. You will define needs, Vet concepts, and integrate solutions into manufacturing for launch readiness.

You will coach and mentor team members, improve design practices, and lead broader initiatives to strengthen product reliability and performance across Vitamix products globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years related engineering experience
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• Expert in CAD tools, PLM systems, and engineering analysis methods
• Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with DFM/ DFA, GD&T, FMEA, and reliability design

Responsibilities

• Deliver on technical project designs meeting requirements and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
• Lead supplier/partner coordination for developed or sourced products
• Apply stage-gate processes and review mechanisms for NPD/changes
• Mentor team members and drive design practice improvements
• Lead risk assessment and corrective actions across projects
• Develop budgets and manage resources for engineering activities
