Job summary

Vitamix is looking for a Hardware Development Engineer to support the research, development, and technical aspects of electro-mechanical systems in their products. This role includes designing control boards, embedded firmware, and motors, among other responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of engineering experience, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and proficiency in relevant software and technology. The position is hybrid and promotes a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of engineering experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of motors (Universal, Induction, Permanent Magnet, BLDC).
• Understanding of the NPD Stage-Gate process.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Engineering, Production, and Quality on electro-mechanical components.
• Assist in developing control systems.
• Develop embedded systems control and firmware.

Skills

Proficiency in MS Office

Experience with Electrical CAD (Altium)

Fundamental knowledge of motors

Proficiency in schematic capture using Altium Designer

Understanding of EMC/EMI fundamentals

Knowledge of electrical safety standards

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

Master’s degree in electrical engineering
