Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
• DC 1st Class Engineer's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control checks, ensure safety and reliability of systems and equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and repair large-scale mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial buildings.
• Ensure all machinery meets safety standards and operating procedures, including monitoring boiler water, fuel levels, and safety devices.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment/systems.
• Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
• Develop operation, safety, and maintenance procedures or assist in their development.
• Observe readings on gauges, meters and charts and adjust controls to ensure safe and efficient operation, recording in logs.
• Direct and coordinate activities of other workers involved in operating and maintaining the system(s).
• Knowledge of emergency generator systems, including testing protocols, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred.
