Job summary

MW_enterprise is seeking a Chief Engineer to operate and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, steam and electrical systems in a Culpeper, VA facility. The role requires overseeing technicians, ensuring safety standards, monitoring gauges, and maintaining logs to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
DC 1st Class Engineer's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform quality control checks, ensure safety and reliability of systems and equipment.
Operate, maintain, and repair large-scale mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial buildings.
Ensure all machinery meets safety standards and operating procedures, including monitoring boiler water, fuel levels, and safety devices.
Supervise the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment/systems.
Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
Develop operation, safety, and maintenance procedures or assist in their development.
Observe readings on gauges, meters and charts and adjust controls to ensure safe and efficient operation, recording in logs.
Direct and coordinate activities of other workers involved in operating and maintaining the system(s).
Knowledge of emergency generator systems, including testing protocols, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred.
