Sora Fuel is seeking a visionary Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design, engineering, and fabrication of a FOAK SAF pilot plant, integrating DAC with a carbonate electrolysis system. You will own the electrolyzer mechanical architecture through prototype to pilot, turning innovative chemical workflows into robust industrial systems.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience with concept-to-operations delivery.
• Direct experience designing and scaling electrochemical or multi-phase physical-chemical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, and integrate the carbonate electrolysis system mechanically.
• Scale bench designs to pilot plant, containerized or skid-mounted.
• Lead vendor selection and manage fabrication partners for rapid, high-quality production.
• Ensure safety and compliance with ASME B31.3 and relevant codes.
• Oversee assembly, testing, and commissioning of the pilot plant.
