Job summary

Meta is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in its Infrastructure group in Menlo Park to lead design, prototyping, and testing of devices for AI/ML servers, storage, and data centers.

The role collaborates with TPM, hardware, thermal, manufacturing, software, and supply chain teams to meet schedules, validate performance, and produce production-ready documentation. Domestic/international travel up to ~10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience designing and shipping commercial or industrial products
• Proficient with 3D CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks
• Experienced in analyzing and resolving issues cross-functionally
• Effective communication skills
• Experience creating engineering documentation such as product specifications, test reports, and manufacturing drawings

Responsibilities

• Lead product specification, design, prototyping, and testing of devices and products for AI/ML server, storage, network systems, or rack & power
• Work with TPM, hardware, thermal, manufacturing, software, supply chain, and partners to meet goals
• Validate product performance against requirements using design and simulation tools
• Perform tolerance analysis, motion and performance studies
• Iterate design concepts and prototyping with internal labs or suppliers
• Create test plans, test equipment, and verification procedures
• Create documentation and specifications for prototyping, quoting, and production
• Collaborate with ODM/JDM/CM partners through DFM and verification stages
