Nexus Circular is seeking a Mechanical Discipline Lead to oversee mechanical engineering for large capital expansion projects from FEL-2 through FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning. The role requires ownership, proactive leadership, and collaboration with engineering and EPC partners to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities include defining scopes, specifying equipment, and driving standardization across disciplines, with frequent interaction

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, with leadership on large capital projects in chemical-process, petrochemical, or advanced manufacturing industries.
• Deep understanding of API, ASME, ANSI for static equipment, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Proven ability to independently lead and manage EPCs and vendors through all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Mechanical Discipline Lead for assigned capital projects; define mechanical scope and deliverables for each project phase.
• Provide technical leadership to mechanical teams of engineering and EPC partners; review and approve specifications, datasheets, calculations, drawings, 3D models.
• Specify static and rotating equipment, select materials of construction; ensure codes, standards, and safety compliance.
