Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Greenville, TX seeks a Lead, Mechanical Engineer (ODA Airworthiness) to lead FAA and military airworthiness activities for aircraft mechanical systems.

You will contribute to certification plans, data reviews, and compliance demonstrations within a multidisciplinary team. The role requires aviation experience, FAA/MIL standards knowledge, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance, with on-site work and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 9 years of aircraft mechanical engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 13 years of mechanical engineering experience in an aircraft environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Experience on FAA certification projects and MIL-HDBK-516C guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation of FAA Certification Plans and applicable FAA regulation identification.
• Review data supporting FAA findings of compliance.
• Participate in Certification Team activities for Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft.
• Support engineering in achieving FAA and Military airworthiness certification.
