Job summary

Bart & Associates, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Lead Designer to join a collaborative design team focused on integrating electronic suites for industrial and DoD applications. The role involves CAD/CAM/PLM workflows to produce detailed drawings and 3D models for new products, assemblies, and ECNs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong CAD background, at least four years of mechanical design experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years direct experience in mechanical design.
• Experience with CAD systems (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed product models/drawings for new parts, revisions and assemblies.
• Prepare BOMs for production implementation.
• Maintain and reconcile revisions between drawing files and production systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on 3D models and drawings for prototypes and final design.
• Interface with engineers, customers, and other organizations to verify product data accuracy.
• Lead and collaborate on environmental qualification testing when required.
• Coordinate with fabricators on model files, clarifications, and build operations.
