Job summary

B&A is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Lead Designer to join a collaborative design team focused on delivering DoD-grade, industrial electronics integrations. You will design and integrate electronic suites into final products, using CAD/CAM/PLM tools to produce detailed drawings and 3D models, coordinating with engineering, production, and support staff as well as customers.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 4+ years of direct design experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years direct experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient with CAD systems (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Attention to detail on all tasks.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed models and drawings for new parts and assemblies.
• Prepare BOMs and manage revisions across files.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on 3D models and drawings.
• Lead environmental qualification testing when required.
• Interact with customers to verify product specifications.
