Job summary

NEP Group, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Lead to head the Mechanical Design team at our Systems Integration facility.

You'll specialize in mechanical systems for broadcast and production equipment, including mobile units, Fly Packs, and studios, with responsibilities spanning layouts, materials, and finishes. You will guide development from requirements, oversee prototypes, assist with budgets and proposals, train staff, and coordinate with design, project management, and construction

Qualifications

• Holds Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry related experience.
• AutoCAD, Autodesk Vault, CFD and 3D printing tools experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle design for mobile television facilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops facilities/systems for television mobile units, Fly Pack and Studio systems including layouts, interior and exterior finishes.
• Designs complex components and improves equipment and systems.
• Oversees prototypes, fabrication and tests of equipment.
• Assists in budgets and client proposals.
• Provides training on fabrication and installation techniques.
• Coordinates with vendors and NEP staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Acts as consultant on mechanical issues and keeps projects on schedule.
