Job summary

Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC is seeking a Lead Design-Engineer to spearhead HVAC and plumbing design for large mechanical construction projects. You will train and optimize the engineering team's deliverables and coordinate design, detailing, drafting, and fabrication activities onsite.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license and has 8+ years of HVAC-Plumbing design and engineering experience with a medium to large contractor, driving value engineering and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Active PE License.
• 8+ years of HVAC-Plumbing Design and Engineering experience for medium or large mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Train and optimize our engineering team’s deliverables.
• Manage engineering, design, detailing, drafting, and fabrication design teams.
• Oversee engineering department budgets, scheduling, and approve accuracy of final engineering calculations and designs.
• Look for value engineering opportunities.
