Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Lexington, KY onsite team. You will design HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for commercial and industrial projects and produce construction documents through AutoCAD and Revit.

You’ll coordinate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, with site visits to resolve field issues. The role requires strong technical skills, independent work capabilities, and a track record of

Qualifications

5+ years of mechanical design experience in commercial/industrial construction.
Strong HVAC design experience including equipment sizing and ductwork.
Experience designing plumbing and piping systems.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for documents.
Ability to manage multiple projects with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

Develop HVAC, plumbing, and piping system designs for commercial/industrial construction projects.
Perform equipment sizing, load calculations, ductwork design, and layouts.
Create and maintain construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
Coordinate design activities with project managers, field teams, and clients.
Conduct site visits to support installation and verify field conditions.
