Job summary

CloudHQ, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems for data centers across the Americas. You will guide the full project lifecycle from master planning and concept through construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring performance, resilience, and efficiency for clients and CloudHQ.

You will work with customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and operations teams, proactively mitigating risk and driving timely decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing mechanical cooling/ventilation for data centers.
• At least 2 years in a lead design role.
• Experience managing external design consultants.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiation and execution of mechanical systems design for data centers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Oversee design deliverables, specs, schedules, and allocations.
• Support campus planning, entitlements, and permitting.
• Collaborate with global design colleagues to standardize practices.
