Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems. You will supervise foremen, crews, and subcontractors, coordinate with project teams, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of field experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, piping, or industrial construction.
• Experience as Foreman or Superintendent on commercial/industrial projects.
• Knowledge reading and interpreting blueprints, specs, and schedules.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and jobsite safety practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage field operations on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily field operations on assigned project.
• Supervise foremen, field employees, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Coordinate activities to meet project schedules and productivity goals.
• Ensure proper utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
• Resolve installation challenges and field conflicts.
• Collaborate with PM, Fabrication, BIM/VDC to support execution.
• Review drawings and schedules to ensure proper installation.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and enforce OSHA regulations.
• Maintain quality and identify issues early.
