Job summary

Lime is seeking a Lead Mechanic to guide a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, ensuring the fleet is safe, reliable and ready for deployment in the Tampa market.

You will train staff, review performance, manage battery operations, and coordinate warehouse tasks. This contracted, third‑party role emphasizes hands‑on repairs, quality checks, and efficient workflow to maximize vehicle availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• 1 year of experience in a similar industry; with the ability to train others preferred
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis

Responsibilities

• Onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient
• Maintain a team oriented environment and integrate new Mechanics to the team
• Evaluate and provide feedback to manager on team performance
• Ensure operational compliance and safety of all vehicles by completing quality checks prior to their departure from the warehouse for deployment
• Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles
• Ensure accurate documentation of completed quality checks for vehicles and parts
• Manage battery operations such as inspection, rotation, check in/out, and more
• Support inventory management and organization of tools, parts, and vehicles
• May assist with any level of tire maintenance including changes, inflation, or assembly
• Identify issues and perform small repairs on vehicles in field from brake adjustments to vehicle cleaning to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition
• Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse
• Perform in warehouse repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement
• Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned
• May be required to safely operate a push cart, pallet jack, and/or forklift to move vehicle inventory. Where applicable, forklift certification will be necessary.
• Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed
• Additional job related tasks as assigned
