Herc Rentals in Memphis, TN is seeking a Mechanic A to lead fleet maintenance, applying preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment on the rental 'ready line'. You will mentor B and C level technicians and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires diagnosing engines, electrical, hydraulics, and performing major repairs using diagnostic tools, with strong documentation and teamwork. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated mastery of all Mechanic B and C-level tasks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes Herc Rentals quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Herc fleet equipment and trucks independently.
• Diagnose problem areas for any significant wear or tear on equipment.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Follow all company filed procedures and protocols.
• Lead fleet maintenance operations to keep equipment on the rental 'ready line'.
• Mentor Mechanic B and C levels and assist in training.
