Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Owns a sufficient set of hand and air/electric tools.
• Able to drive and operate multiple equipment types.
• Mastery of Mechanic B and C-level tasks.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems.
• Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs independently.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire and hose work, battery replacements.
• Diagnose wear and tear and replacement of parts as needed.
• Produce detailed service reports and logs; keep work area organized.
• Follow procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
