Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers, Inc. seeks a Head Mechanic for our Woodland, CA Distribution Center. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, VFDs, welding, and fabrication in a large, modern facility.

This on-site, full-time position requires strong leadership, preventive maintenance expertise, and the ability to coordinate with production teams to meet safety and quality goals. CBA-based pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical background with expert-level troubleshooting of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, train, and supervise mechanics; assign tasks and schedules.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production and label-line equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; identify root cause and implement timely repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLC- and VFD-controlled equipment, motor controls, and electrical systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics; create and review machine drawings.
• Weld and fabricate parts; assemble and align machinery.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and equipment performance reports.
• Order parts and coordinate with management to align repair efforts with production goals.
