Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, oil changes, parts ordering, and documenting service reports. A minimum of 2 years in heavy equipment repair and a tool set are required; the role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent schedule of preventive maintenance for all Herc owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose engines, electrical, hydraulic and fuel systems.
• Perform major repairs using diagnostic tools and measuring instruments.
• Enter work orders and order parts via fleet management system.
• Recondition and replace parts of heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and produce service reports.
