Herc Rentals is seeking a Mechanic A in Charleston, SC to lead fleet maintenance and mentor junior technicians. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment on the rental line. You will work Mon-Fri with a comprehensive benefits package and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ownership of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple vehicle types and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes Herc Rentals quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Herc fleet equipment and trucks independently.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and assorted services.
• Recondition and replace assorted parts of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose problem areas for wear or tear on equipment.
• Produce timely service reports and repair logs.
