Job summary

Global Medical Response's AMR fleet seeks a Mechanic Lead to oversee maintenance and safety across locations. You will support the Fleet Manager, schedule work, and ensure timely, high-quality vehicle service for patient transport.

Ideal candidates bring journeyman-level automotive experience, electrical diagnosis skills, ASE certifications, and a full set of personal tools. On-site leadership and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical diagnosis experience and ability to read schematics.
• Journeyman level experience in automotive maintenance.
• 5 years of basic automotive experience required.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.
• ASE A1–A8 certifications and brake certification are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Front-Line Mechanic maintenance activities as assigned by Fleet Manager.
• Rotates on-call duties with Fleet Manager.
• Schedules employees and ensures work meets standards and timelines.
• Provides input for evaluations and assists in training new hires.
• Contributes to cost-effective fleet maintenance programs and helps develop new ones.
• Maintains vehicle records and may perform data entry and parts ordering.
• Uses parts catalog to locate parts and verify correct application.

Lead Mechanic

IMMEDIATELY HIRING!MechanicLead

We're hiring a Mechanic Lead responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the AMR company. This is a key role in assisting our Fleet Manager in the oversight of daily operations in our maintenance facility to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all Front-Line Mechanic maintenance activities assigned by Fleet Manager.
• MechanicLeadwill rotate on-call duties with Fleet Manager.
• Employee scheduling and ensuring the quality of work performed meets department standards and work is completed as scheduled.
• Provides input to Fleet Manager for employee evaluation and progress report purposesas well as assist in the training of new hires.
• Ensuring cost effectiveness of all fleet maintenance programsand assistsFleet Manager in development of new maintenance programs.
• Mechanic Lead maintainsrequired vehicle records. This may include data entry, parts ordering, etc.
• Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.

Minimum RequiredQualifications:

• Electrical diagnosis experience with ability to read and comprehend schematics
• Must have a full set of personal tools.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.
• Journeyman level experience
• 5 years of basic automotive experience
• ASE Certifications (Combination A1-A8 - Mandatory Brake Certification ASE or equivalent).
• ASE 609 or equivalent Certification Mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fleet Maintenance background preferred.
