Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic in Massachusetts to perform daily equipment repairs and maintenance, including motor and gear box changes, with emphasis on safety and reliability. You will participate in start-up meetings, monitor repair operations, and use CAD and project tools to stay organized.

The role requires at least 3 years of transportation mechanic experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of transportation mechanic experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical repairs and services to equipment daily.
• Performs motor and gear box changes and maintenance.
• Contribute to daily start-up and monthly department meetings ensuring thorough communication to associates.
• Manage and monitor the performance and efficiency of repair operations.
• Actively participate in technical and safety training programs.
• Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems, CAD, e-mail, calendar, and spreadsheets.
• Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs.
• Covers operations and maintenance positions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay range
