Job Summary

The Lead Mechanic will complete repairs on light duty trucks, conduct preventative maintenance, and inspections in accordance with the maintenance plan, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The Lead Mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining the shop & yard site.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical repairs including pumps, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain basic intermediate computer skills for work order management.
• Execute work orders efficiently and accurately.
• Possess and maintain own basic tools.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
• Engage in ongoing training to meet process and compliance needs.
• Identify problems and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade education in industrial mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with light duty vehicle repair.
• Experience with preventative maintenance.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
