Job summary

Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) Materials Division in Carson City, NV seeks a Supervisor 1, Associate Engineer to oversee concrete testing, reporting, and staff development on-site. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, or Engineering Intern certification with four years subprofessional experience.
• Experience supervising technical staff and coordinating projects within a DOT environment.
• Ability to interpret plans, maps, specifications and perform engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional engineering staff and engineering students.
• Oversee testing and training within the lab.
• Review tests for accuracy and produce final reports.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, divisions, concrete suppliers, testing firms, state and federal agencies.
