Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Field Materials Controller to support project teams by managing materials receiving, inspection, storage, and issue processes on a construction site. You will oversee site laydown areas and ensure accurate documentation using the Material/Inventory Management System.

Minimum five years of relevant experience (degree optional) with strong attention to detail and safety. Work environment includes field and office settings with potential relocation and a 100% ESOP-owned

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience; degree not required.
• Preferred degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or construction management.
• Experience with materials management and inventory control is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and equipment.
• Plan and maintain site receiving rules, laydown areas, and warehouse space.
• Ensure timely, compliant storage and material issuance.
• Train staff on procedures and coordinate with engineering and procurement.
• Maintain and utilize the Material/Inventory Management System.
• Track metrics for inventory, issues, locations, and preventive maintenance.
