Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required; 2-5 years' experience in a production management or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Outlook; SAP experience preferred but not required – training will be provided.
• Organizational skills, MS Office proficiency, high initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; accuracy and independence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise indirect material handling hourly employees.
• Lead initiatives to improve departmental metrics.
• Act as a leader to unite hourly employees toward department goals.
• Monitor shortages and prevent downtime.
• Address safety issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain professionalism across departments.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure material on the production line.
• Ensure accurate line counts and reporting of shortages; organize containers.
• Forecast future build requirements and move material timely to the line.
• Train hourly employees on job functions.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
