Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly material handling and ensure smooth production line operation. You will supervise indirect material handlers, coordinate with planners, train staff, and drive improvements in safety and efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, familiarity with SAP/MS Outlook, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. This on-site position offers career growth with a leading defense contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years of production management or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Outlook; SAP training provided.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Highly accurate in quality of work.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise indirect material handling hourly employees.
• Lead and unite hourly employees to achieve department goals.
• Monitor shortages and minimize downtime.
• Train hourly employees in job functions.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure material on the production line.
• Ensure accurate line counts and reporting of shortages.
• Maintain professionalism across departments.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
