Lead Material Handler - Warehouse 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)

ContiTech, a division of Continental, is a leading supplier of technical elastomer products, specializing in plastics technology. We develop and produce functional parts, components, and systems for various industries including machinery, mining, automotive, and more. Our Somersworth, NH location seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented Lead Material Handler to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us?

The role involves overseeing the safe handling of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, ensuring resources are available to meet production needs.

• Lead shift material handlers and allocate resources for movement of materials.
• Coordinate transport activities, including loading and unloading, following all safety guidelines.
• Place orders for materials in SAP to support production and stock levels.
• Support receiving activities and document receipts in SAP.
• Coordinate resources for routine and non-routine requests, including overtime and special projects.
• Maintain open communication and escalate safety or inventory issues to management.
• Operate Logistics Powered Industrial Trucks safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Access information via SAP and other systems as needed.
• Manage plant refuse and recyclables in accordance with guidelines.
• Participate in inventory maintenance and auditing, supporting continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, incorporating 5S principles.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of logistics experience.
• Basic math skills and strong computer skills.
• 2 years of PIT experience with proficient and safe operation of equipment.
• Basic SAP experience preferred; leadership skills are a plus.
• Strong multitasking, teamwork, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to speak English.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
