ContiTech, a division of Continental, is a leading supplier of technical elastomer products and specializes in plastics technology. We develop and produce functional parts, components, and systems for various industries, including automotive, mining, and machinery. Our Somersworth, NH location seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented Lead Material Handler to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us?

Responsibilities:

• Oversee safe material handling of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, ensuring resources are available for daily production.
• Lead shift material handlers and coordinate resource allocation.
• Manage transport activities, including loading and unloading, following all safety guidelines.
• Place orders for materials in SAP to support production needs.
• Support receiving activities and documentation for SAP transactions.
• Coordinate resources for routine and non-routine requests, including overtime and projects.
• Maintain open communication for changing requirements and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure safe operation of all Logistics Powered Industrial Trucks, including safety checks and protocols.
• Access information via SAP and other systems as required.
• Coordinate removal of plant refuse and recyclables.
• Maintain inventory through physical counts, cycle counts, and spot checks.
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Keep workspace clean and safe, incorporating 5S principles.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in logistics.
• Basic math and computer skills; 2 years PIT experience with safe operation proficiency; basic SAP experience.
• Strong multitasking, teamwork, problem-solving, communication skills; leadership preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided.
