Xcel Energy is hiring one or more Material Handler(s) In-Charge for the Melby Service Center in Eau Claire, WI. The role leads daily material operations, directs team members, and ensures safe, efficient handling of materials for field construction crews.

Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, put-away, staging, returns processing, and maintaining a clean work area. Strong safety adherence and customer service to local management are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift operator certification and computer skills are required.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and work inside and outside in dusty environments.
• Willing to work extended hours and respond to after-hour emergencies as necessary.
• CDL is required or must be able to obtain within 6 months of acceptance.
• Must live within 20 miles of the reporting service center.

Responsabilités

• Lead and perform all duties and daily operational activities of Material Operations & Planning.
• Direct the work of one or more bargaining unit employees.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Material ordering from Alliance suppliers and internal storerooms.
• Receive/unload and stock materials; fill and stage orders for field construction crews.
• Process material returns/credits from the field; keep work area clean.
• Provide excellent customer service for local management and field employees.
