Job summary

Schindler Group in Ohio is seeking a Lead Material Handler to supervise inventory, shipping/receiving, and stock movements while driving safety, quality, and production goals. You will mentor a small team, coordinate training, and ensure accurate records and reports are maintained.

The role requires a high school diploma, SAP/MRP/ERP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to operate a company truck between Holland and Maumee facilities. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, and ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel; ability to work OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and develop team performance to meet or exceed department goals.
• Manage inventory through cycle counting, and oversee shipping, receiving and stock movements.
• Ensure safety practices and quality standards are followed by the team.
• Lead and mentor team members; coordinate training and regular meetings.
• Prepare records, reports, and documentation for materials handling activities.
• Coordinate staffing and delegate tasks to ensure production schedules are met.
