Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a part-time Truck Driver to support USPS mail operations at the BWI facility. Shifts run from 2am to 6am (or 2:30am–6:30am), transporting containerized USPS mail between the airport and off-property sorting facility.

Role requires a CDL Class A license, clean driving record, and 2+ years of driving experience. Training is provided; benefits include insurance, 401(k) with match, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Must possess CDL Class A License.
• SIDA airport badging or background check required for this location.
• Minimum two years commercial driving experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports.
• Sitting while driving for long periods of time in possible inclement weather.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment.
• Document, record, and track all required log sheets IAW, FMCSA, DOT and Quantem Aviation Services, Inc requirements.
• Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and direction for efficient travel routing.
• Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.
• Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer.

Position Overview

Our Truck Driver position will be a key part of our USPS mail operations team in BWI. The person hired for this position will transport containerized USPS mail from the BWI airport to our off-property sorting facility and then back to the airport. We currently have Part-Time positions only. The hours are 2am-6am, and 2:30am-6:30-am.
