Job description

The ID Logistics Logistic Team Leader manages their team’s activities and organizes their work to achieve defined objectives. They are a line manager responsible for the quality of work, compliance with internal processes, health and safety rules for goods and personnel, and customer specifications. The role involves leading and supporting a team, with a typical distribution of responsibilities being 2/3 Level 3+ and 1/3 Level 1.

Management Responsibilities - Team Leader
  • Plans, manages, and controls team activities, setting clear rules, objectives, and expectations.
  • Communicates the roadmap and final goals, understanding team members' motivations to inspire and motivate them, making their work meaningful and rewarding.
  • Establishes regular communication routines to monitor activity and objectives.
  • Provides feedback, recognition, and support, ensuring team members meet performance standards and receive necessary training.
  • Encourages process improvements and internal innovation programs.
General Activities
  • Adjusts workforce and equipment based on volume forecasts to meet performance goals, prioritizing operations and supervising execution.
  • Maintains communication with the customer and coordinates specific requirements.
  • Follows ID Logistics and local health and safety rules.
  • Analyzes equipment checklists and ensures corrective actions are taken. Anticipates operational issues and proposes improvements.
Audit and Quality Management
  • Organizes the workplace according to procedures and sector objectives.
  • Ensures procedures and objectives are current and responds to audits as needed.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
  • Monitors key performance indicators and ensures effective communication within the team and with internal partners.
  • Analyzes deviations from plans and implements corrective actions in coordination with warehouse management.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours and Compensation

Friday to Sunday, 7 am to 7:30 pm

Salary: $22.50 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and education.
  • Up to 2 years of higher education or equivalent experience.
  • Training in transport, logistics, and management.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in team leadership.
