Vredevoogd Heating & Cooling, Inc. seeks an experienced Master Plumber to diagnose, repair, and install residential plumbing systems while leading apprentices and ensuring code compliance.

You will mentor junior plumbers and collaborate with office and field teams to deliver projects on schedule. The role requires a valid Master Plumber License, a clean driving record, and ability to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• Master Plumber License required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with insurability through Vredevoogd’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings, as well as a comprehensive national background check.
• Extensive knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
• Proven leadership experience in residential plumbing service and installation.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to lift over 75 lbs, climb in and out of vehicles, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Lansing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential plumbing systems with high technical expertise.
• Ensure work complies with local/state codes and company standards.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior plumbers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Inspect completed work for customer satisfaction and code compliance.
• Collaborate with office staff and field teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
• Promote safety culture and help grow the department.
