Job summary

Southern Land Company is seeking a full-time Development Manager to lead the development of a new master-planned community in Moncure, NC. You will manage all facets from permitting through construction, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and authorities to keep schedules and budgets on track.

This role requires strong leadership, extensive knowledge of land use planning, and proven ability to work with government agencies, developers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in real estate management.
• Strong knowledge of land use planning/zoning law, environmental regulation, and construction practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and inspectors to obtain permits and approvals.
• Oversee development from permit approvals through construction and turnover.
• Lead engagement with local government jurisdictions and community meetings.
• Develop and manage development schedules and budgets with executive teams.
• Manage design and engineering processes to ensure cost/time efficiency.
