Heights Wellness Retreat Novi is seeking a Master Bodyworker and clinical mentor to serve as our Lead Massage Therapist. In this hybrid leadership role, you will deliver exceptional hands-on care while mentoring our practitioner team, maintaining clinical quality control, and upholding an elevated standard of therapeutic care.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Massage Therapy License is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on massage therapy in high-end settings.
• Experience mentoring peers and leading teams.
• Ability to maintain clinical quality control and standards.
• Strong understanding of safety and sanitation in spa environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 24+ hours of hands-on massage weekly with excellent client care and rebooking.
• Mentor therapists, conduct onboarding, training, and audits of protocols.
• Coach on client retention and home-care recommendations to meet performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with sanitary, ethical, and state regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure seamless client journeys and integration with other team members.

Pay & Earnings Potential – Earn Like a Leader & Protect Your Body:

• Earnings Potential: $100,000+ Total Target Compensation (Base Rates + Hourly Premiums + Tips + Performance Bonuses + Uncapped Profit Sharing)
• Therapy Hours: $32 / hour + Tips (With automatic rate increases every 500 therapy hours)
• Personal Rebook Premium: +$2 or $3 / hour (Evaluated quarterly at 70% & 80% thresholds)
• Service Enhancements: Commission ~20% of revenue
• Non-Therapy Leadership Hours: $1,200 / month (For training, quality control, and admin duties)
• Retreat Rebook Target Bonus: Up to $1,000 / month
• Annual Profit Sharing: 1% of store profit

What You Will Do (Clinical Leadership & Hands‑On Care)

• Hands‑On Excellence: Deliver 24+ hours of custom therapeutic massage per week, exemplifying top‑tier client care, assessment, and rebooking.
• Team Mentorship & Quality Control: Spend 12+ hours weekly onboarding, training, and auditing therapist protocols, technical skill sets, and client interactions.
• Rebook & Retention Coaching: Guide therapists on client retention, home‑care recommendations, and service enhancements to help the retreat achieve performance targets.
• Sanctuary & Safety Standards: Ensure strict adherence to sanitary, ethical, state regulatory, and body mechanic standards across all treatment suites.
• Department Integration: Collaborate closely with the Retreat Director, Estheticians, and Wellness Consultants to ensure seamless, personalized client journeys.
• Holistic Wellness Pathing: Look beyond hands‑on care to educate and cross‑recommend high‑tech recovery modalities to complement your client's therapeutic goals.

Qualifications & Clinical Profile

• Licensure: Active Michigan Massage Therapy License in good standing.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional hands‑on massage therapy experience in a high‑end spa, clinical, boutique resort, or private wellness environment.
• Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude for training, peer coaching, technique evaluation, and constructive feedback.
• Physical Demands: Ability to consistently perform 24+ hands‑on therapy hours per week using proper body mechanics.
• Scientific Curiosity: Strong desire and conceptual capacity to understand the science behind recovery technologies and mentor therapists on explaining these benefits to clients.
• Background Checks: Ability to pass reoccurring background checks.
