Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Lead Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. In addition to providing exceptional massage services, this role involves leading the massage department to ensure seamless operations, outstanding client satisfaction, and a cohesive team environment. As the Lead Massage Therapist, you will offer valuable support to management, the owner, and your colleagues. The focus is on giving your best effort while embracing the opportunity to grow as a leader, fostering a positive and collaborative environment for the entire team.
LMT Job Responsibilities:
- Promote the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.
- Design specific treatment plans based on client's individual needs.
- Deliver an exceptional healing experience for every member/guest through routine visits and long-term treatment plans.
- Generate new clientele by promoting member referrals and memberships.
- Help maintain professionalism and cleanliness standards of therapy rooms and common areas.
Lead LMT Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Training: Mentor, train, and support massage therapists to maintain service excellence. Assist with onboarding and training team members in various modalities. Posting weekly stats for the team, goal setting, monthly staff reviews and coaching.
- Collaboration with Management: Partner with spa management to address department needs, implement strategies, and ensure smooth daily operations
- Operational Oversight: Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and meet spa standards. Work with management to uphold operational protocols.
- Policy & Procedure Compliance: Follow all Hand & Stone and spa policies while holding the team accountable to do the same.
- Client Experience: Provide personalized, high-quality massage treatments that exceed client expectations. Lead by example in delivering exceptional services.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a positive, collaborative work environment by working with both team members and management to achieve departmental goals.
- Problem Solving: Identify, address, and resolve departmental challenges or staff issues in a professional manner, collaborating with management when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Active Florida massage therapist license and adhere to state licensing laws and regulations.
- Ability to carry massage therapy liability insurance and pass a background check.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, spa management and spa staff.
- A great attitude, a consistent work ethic, and understand and believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
- Knowledge of Swedish Massage required, other various modalities preferred, all specialty modalities add increased per session commissions.
- Nights and weekends are required for the Lead position to ensure consistent leadership presence and departmental support during peak times.
