Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Maritime Estimator to prepare and finalize bids for new vessel construction, conversion, surface ship repair, and modernization projects, including aircraft carriers and submarine programs.

You will develop detailed cost models, labor forecasts, material takeoffs, and subcontractor pricing, and create bid summaries and work breakdown structures while coordinating with program management, purchasing, and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of commercial marine estimating experience.
• Experience with aircraft carrier and surface ship repair or modernization.
• Ability to read and interpret vessel drawings and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review specs, drawings, and contracts to prepare cost estimates.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Prepare bid summaries, proposals, and customer submittals.
• Create work breakdown structures and itemized scopes of work.
