Qualifications

• Must have 5–10 years of commercial marine estimating experience.
• Experience with aircraft carrier and surface ship repair, overhaul, or modernization projects.
• Ability to read and interpret vessel drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, contracts, and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Prepare bid summaries, proposals, and customer submittals.
• Create work breakdown structures and itemized scopes of work.
• Develop labor forecasts, budgets, and schedule estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare pricing for contract modifications and change orders.
• Conduct estimate-turnover meetings after contract awards.
