Job summary

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Senior-level Marine Electronics Engineer (Systems Integration) to lead the electronics team and support USCG Ship Design Team in Washington, DC. Ideal candidate will have experience developing and integrating C5I shipboard systems in USCG or Navy environments.

The role emphasizes design, testing, cybersecurity, and ship system integration, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote) near USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC, and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 8+ years in developing/integrating Machinery Control and C5I systems.
• 1+ year in federal ship/boat building programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and supervise the implementation of shipboard electronic equipment.
• Analyze centralized machinery control systems, interior/exterior communications, sensors, navigation, and related C5ISR systems.
• Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks for installed systems and networks.
• Apply knowledge of remote sensing, sensor processing, and information processing for electronics components.
• Develop system documentation and ship specifications.
