Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the 2:00PM – 12:30AM shift in Gilbert, AZ. You will lead a manufacturing crew, ensure on-time attendance, host a daily morning meeting, review safety concerns, and guarantee material readiness for tasks.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, experience in manufacturing, and the ability to train apprentices, manage quality, and maintain documentation while coordinating with other trades to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing safety practices.
• Ability to read/write in English.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing 40+ lbs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven track record of meeting production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew arrives on time and ready for duty at shift start.
• Host a morning shift meeting to delegate daily work.
• Review job-related issues and safety concerns.
• Ensure workers have materials and tools to complete tasks.
• Train apprentices in job duties.
• Verify subassembly counts and quality, report discrepancies.
• Coordinate daily tasks with other trade supervisors.
• Manage inventory of materials to prevent shortages.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records.
• Demonstrate leadership and motivate the team.
• Ensure adherence to PPE, safety policies and company rules.
• Escalate disciplinary action as per policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
