Lead Manufacturing Specialist _ Assembly Engineer

Job Summary

This role involves engineering related to the manufacturing process, impacting departmental operations through planning and execution. It offers some autonomy, primarily focused on executing activities within standard practices and procedures. Judgment may be needed, typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment, involving Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, using experience and expertise to execute policies and strategies.
  • Understand key business drivers and how team activities contribute to broader goals.
  • Apply judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, using technical skills and analytical thinking to solve straightforward tasks. Collaborate with multiple internal sources to make decisions.
  • Typically an individual contributor with strong interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent, providing informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.
