Job Description Summary

The Assembly Engineer (AE) reports to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manager and is a project management role responsible for managing assembly requirements on Development, Production Sickbay & Compliance engines for Commercial and NPI programs (Hybrid Electric, Next Generation Narrow Body, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Manage assembly requirements for development, production sickbay, and compliance engines.
  2. Oversee cost and schedule of assigned engines.
  3. Interface daily with assembly teams, instrumentation, evaluations, systems, test, engineering design, materials/fulfillment, tooling, project personnel, and the hourly workforce.
  4. Assist in scheduling and executing engines with a focus on integrity, safety, quality, delivery, and overall cost initiatives.
  5. Refine, develop, and validate all aspects of the assembly process including tooling, planning, and procedures to create a production-ready process.
  6. Provide engine status briefings to senior leadership.
  7. Coordinate with customers and leadership to ensure development milestones are met on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  8. Ensure engine assemblies conform to the latest quality and FAA/DCMA regulations.
  9. Create and manage the assembly schedule and budget throughout the development process.
  10. Apply lean principles to deliver results and develop solutions in a dynamic environment.
  11. Enforce safety standards and analyze operations to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college, or 6 years of equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production processes, and equipment.
