Job summary

Valpak Clipp in Florida seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead a team of production technicians in a climate controlled manufacturing environment. You will oversee equipment operation, staffing, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and continuous improvement.

This role requires strong leadership, coaching, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with Lean initiatives to meet production goals while ensuring a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Five years related manufacturing experience, with two years in a supervisor/lead role.
• Ability to lead and coach a high performing team.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Color vision and ability to work in a noisy environment with hearing protection.
• Experience with SAP and shop floor applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staffing, scheduling, development, coaching, performance review, and budgeting input.
• Manages multiple work centers to meet Lean goals and production targets.
• Collects and analyzes data to support decisions and employee development.
• Participates in interview and selection processes for cell and job family assignments.
• Develops and coaches individuals to support objectives and progression plans.
• Collaborates with family leaders to support business continuity.
• Develops and manages staffing schedules to meet operational requirements.
• Leads or participates in project teams for continuous improvement.
• Communicates how daily activities link to goals and strategies.
• Cross-trains in other families for business continuity.
• Supports progression certifications as Lead on certification team.
• Maintains personal continuous learning through seminars and company activities.
• Ensures safe work practices and reports injuries; contributes to safety program.
